I am a fiery Hispanic with southern(diva) roots.
Actually, I really have NO idea where to call home because, I have lived all over the place. Army brat of 23 years, I am kinda lost in this great big plant because, everywhere I have gone I have left a piece of me. My experiences, my growth, my heartaches and struggles are embedded all over this place we call earth… So, I guess I am going to plant myself here- The south. I have been here the longest; I am registered to vote here, I have a drivers license from here, and I have delivered four babies here! So, I guess this is home( for now at least…)
I married my soul-mate.
“They” say the road to true love is a hard and lonely one, I know that all too well! I was a single mommy since I brought my first son home, after a brief reconciliation with the father of my first child, My daughter came along. From the time I found out I was pregnant with my daughter I knew I was going to be a single mommy of two. It’s hard to let go of the “family” picture but, I knew deep down inside everything was going to be OK, it was my two babies and me against the world. We built our little life very nicely and for the first time I can remember I wasn’t dependant on anybody for my happiness. It was all me. My life was never missing anything. My life was complete and awesome. Although cupid had different plans for me. I guess it was my time to expirence true, healthy love.
All of my broken roads lead me to the love of my life. I always said I was going to be a tough cookie to win over but, honey came into my life and accepted me with two special needs childen, and did not hesitate to call them his own!! It takes an amazing man to take on such a big responsibility!
I have always been OK with being on my own, but, I have no idea were I would be without him. He is my “Honey”!!
I have four children. My two oldest are the in spectrum both on opposite sides of it. I am an activist in the fight against it! Knowledge in the face of the enemy is the best opposition! I live by the golden rules of autism The Five E’s
Enable-People with ASD must have access to tools and resources to help enable navigation and a richer participation in the world around them.
Expand-Individuals with ASD must continuously build their strengths and overcome their weaknesses to expand their opportunities for full interactive and meaningful relationships.
Express-We must work diligently to help every individual with ASD to enable them to express their thoughts and feelings in meaningful ways; engaging in two-way communication so true people to people connections may occur.
I have twin boys who are the light of my life! They make me happy when skies are grey! They are the blessing that made my life complete!
I am a fearless business owner in a competitive market. What makes us different is that we are literally your one stop event planning shop. We do it all under one umbrella called TopHat Affairs. We have built our company with out blood sweat and tears and have no intention of going anywhere! I own this business with honey( honey is what I call my husband if you are interested in how he got the nickname click on the link) even though we are happily married we do fire each other once a day!
All in all… To make our business work one cannot function without the other! We are the yin and yang of the business world!
In a nutshell I am a wife, mommy, business owner and an activist… And when you put that into the mixing pot… You get me!
