He wasn’t made of steel…

2 Nov

Tuesday we lost a furbaby member of our family…  He was stuck by a car while chasing a lose hunting dog… I bought him a superman costume for Halloween, i was going to surprise Jason with it… I threw it away… I could not stand to look at it… Let alone show it to Jason…

I first met Beau April of 06 he quickly entered my heart and we became best friends very fast…
I fell in love with Beau faster then I fell in love with Honey.
(comical reiiel moment at my expense…) I have been accused of “trapping” my honey by getting prego(SARCASM) Acutally, the case was… if I wanted to keep Beau I needed to keep the man… And I wanted to keep beau…
So, I gave in…
Fell in love Jason…
And I never looked back… We are a forever home for animals family. Once an animal is our family that’s it, they are in untill they pass away… Beau was only three we celebrated his thrid birthday in Sept and he was supposed to grow old with us… He was supposed to live a full happy life with us… He was awesome… And he brought joy into our family…

Our lives will never be the same without him…

RIP Beau.. I will see you when I get to the Rainbow Bridge… and I promise you belly rubs…

Rest In Peace my dear sweet boy

The Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together….

I’m so very sorry for your loss. I know the loss of a pet is just brutal. Case in point: I could not actually read the Rainbow Bridge story. I know it and it breaks me up inside.
